Raikkonen wins chaotic Grand Prix

Kimi Raikkonen claimed his second victory today, the McLaren driver won one of the most chaotic Grand Prix of all time.

After heavy rain the start of the race was delayed by 15 minutes. The race started behind the safety car. Many drivers went of the track. Michael Schumacher made a mistake and went off the circuit in turn 3. The German had to retire, for the first time since 2001.

Montoya, Button, Verstappen, Wilson, Pizzonia also made a mistake and had to retire after they went of the circuit.

Meanwhile Rubens Barrichello was leading the race, unfortunately Barrichello had to park his Ferrari F2002 with technical problems in the grass. Coulthard took the lead, but the Scot had to make a pitstop.

Raikkonen took the lead, however Jordan driver Gaincarlo Fisichella was only a few tenths of second behind him. Raikkonen made a small mistake and Fisichella was able to pass the Finish McLaren driver.

In the same lap Mark Webber crashed heavily before the start/ finish line. Alonso crashed into the wreckage of the Jaguar R3. Alonso was taken to the hospital, it seems to be that Alonso had an injury at his left leg.

The race finished and Raikkonen won the race, the FIA took lap 53 as the finishing result. That was that the lap that Raikkonen was still leading.
