On the 24th september Dailyf1news.com exlusively talked about the plans that Dallara have of entering Formula One in 2006. These plans have continued, mounting strong suggestions that Dallara will announce their entry into the series this weekend at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
Despite the recent closure of Jaguar Racing and the production of Cosworth engines, Dallara are still poised to use Cosworth engines for testing during 2005 as we stated in september. Tire wise, Bridgestone seem the go for the Italian Contructor. Several major backers from Canada and Russia are being touted as potential sponsors for the 2006 season. Dallara will not be buying Jaguar to launch their F1 campaign, this will mean we could have 12 teams come 2006 if Jaguar Racing is bought and successfully run.
Dallara have already competed in Formula 1 between 1988 and 1992, scoring 14 points from a total of 78 Grand Prix. We await this announcement with great anticipation.
