Former F3000 champion and current stud of the Formula One grid, Tonio Liuzzi could be in high demand in the coming Grandprix. With the rumour mill turning fast about Sauber earning BMW engines next year, with the Button Williams saga leaving Quick Nick to go to Sauber in 2006, and the possible retirement of Michael Schumacher we might just see Liuzzi split the rumours.
All these factors must be evaluated, but one thing is almost certain David Coulthard will be retained by Red Bull Racing for next year, and maybe beyond with Christian Klien the likely number two. This leaves Liuzzi with the Friday role, which has been taken by Scott Speed for Canada and the USGP. Or not.
With the ever decreasing talent of Jacques Villeneuve he may be forced out of the Sauber seat before seasons end and with the past connection between Red Bull and Sauber, and with Liuzzi having tested for Sauber anything can happen.
We might see the talented Liuzzi in a full time drive in 2006 afterall.
