Aston Martin has been hit with a €100 fine by Emilia Romagna Grand Prix stewards after Lance Stroll sped in the pit-lane.

The limit in force at Imola is 80kph - 49.70mph for the weekend, with the Canadian being clocked at 80.1kph - 49.77mph at the 43 minute mark of the session.

For the exceeding of the limit, Aston has been hit with the fine for the breach of Article 34.7 of the Sporting Regulations.

On Friday, Red Bull's Sergio Perez earned his team a €1,000 fine for exceeding the limit by 8.9 kph.

Stroll finished the session in ninth place, having set his time on the hard tyres, as team-mate Fernando Alonso crashed out after a rare mistake at Turn 18.
