This weekend's Japanese Grand Prix will once again take place at Suzuka, a venue which first hosted an F1 race back in 1987.

Suzuka has offered plenty of excitement and thrilling moments over the years, including two incidents between Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in 1989 and 1990.

For many drivers, qualifying at Suzuka is amongst the most exciting sessions of the season, thanks to the fast and flowing nature of the circuit.

Of course, the iconic Turn 13, known as 130R, has become one of the most exhilarating corners world motorsport. The Japanese fans are also some of the greatest you will ever see.

It is very much a confidence circuit which rewards the brave and punishes the foolish, and is a track all the drivers want to win at.

Given the history of the venue and how highly the drivers rate it, has Suzuka become a jewel of the calendar?
